Brown Places Third Overall at 2012 IHSA Nationals
May 5, 2012Head coach Michaela Scanlon and the Brown Equestrian team had an impressive performance at the 2012 Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Nationals, out-scoring 15 other teams to finish third overall in the country with 17 points. St. Lawrence won the show with 31 points, while Skidmore finished second with 24.
Brown Equestrian Primed for IHSA Nationals
Head coach Michaela Scanlon and the Brown Equestrian team are ready for the 2012 Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) National Championship in Raleigh, N.C., May 3-6. Five riders are headed to nationals after impressive performances at Zones just a few short weeks ago.
Brown Equestrian Wins Ivy League Show
The Brown Equestrian team was strong from start to finish at the Ivy League Show and ended with a near-perfect 46-point team score (49 points are the maximum possible) topping Dartmouth, Columbia, Cornell, Penn, Princeton and Yale. Brown also earned six individual championship events.
Brown Equestrian Qualifies for Nationals at Zone Championships
The Brown equestrian team faced the three other region winners, Holyoke, New Hampshire and Stonehill at the Zone Championships and placed second overall as a team, qualifying for Nationals. It took to the very end of the show, but Brown out-point UNH to claim the spot.
