    The Ivy League has announced that the 2019 Ivy League Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments will be held on the campus of Yale University at the John J. Lee Amphitheater at Payne Whitney Gymnasium.

    Brown freshman guard Desmond Cambridge (Nashville, TN) is the fifth player in Brown basketball history to be named the Ivy League Rookie of the Year, earning the unanimous vote of the Ancient Eight head basketball coaches. Cambridge was also named a Second Team All-Ivy selection.
  • Tamenang Choh Scores Career High 23 Points For Brown, But Bears Downed By Penn, 99-93

    Ryan Bentley scored 16 of his career high 30 points in the opening half to enable Penn to come away with a 99-93 Ivy League win over Brown and clinch a share of the Ivy League Championship. Freshman Tamenang Choh (Lowell, MA) paced the Bears with a career high 23 points.

    Princeton’s Myles Stephens and Amir Bell combined for 43 points to lead the Tigers to a 78-63 Ivy League win over Brown Saturday evening at the Pizzitola Sports Center. The win keeps the Tigers (13-15, 5-8 Ivy) in the hunt for an Ivy League playoff berth, while Brown (11-15, 4-9 Ivy) was eliminated from Ivy Playoff contention.
  • Push For Ivy Playoffs Continues - Men's Basketball Closes Out Regular Season At Home Against Princeton and Penn

    With two games remaining in the regular season, against Princeton on Friday, March 2 at 7:00 pm and Penn on Saturday, March 3 at 6:00 pm, the Brown men's basketball team is holding on to a glimmer of hope in making the four-team Ivy League Tournament. The Bears need to sweep the weekend games and get some help along the way in their final regular season weekend. Friday's game against the Tigers is being broadcast on ESPN3 and the Ivy League Network, while Saturday's game against the Tigers will be aired live on MyRITV and the Ivy League Network.

    Matt Morgan scored 17 points and Cornell out-scored Brown by an 8-2 margin in the final 2:04, to come away with a 73-68 Ivy League win over the Bears Saturday evening at Newman Arena. Freshman Tamenang Choh paced the Bears with 17 points and 12 rebounds.

    Brown came up short in the battle for fourth place in the Ivy standings, falling to Columbia, 89-82, Saturday evening at Levien Gymnasium. Freshman Desmond Cambridge (Nashville, TN) paced the Bears (11-13, 4-7 Ivy) with 26 points, while Mike Smith had 24 points for the Lions (8-16, 5-6 Ivy).
  • Men's Basketball Travels To Columbia and Cornell For Pivotal Ivy Weekend

    With four games remaining in the Ivy schedule and Brown in a three-way tie for third place with Columbia and Cornell, this weekend's games on the road against the Lions and Big Red will go a long way in determining the make-up of the four-team Ivy League Tournament. The Bears take on Columbia in New York City on Friday, February 23 at 7:00 pm, and then travel to Ithaca, NY to take on Cornell on Saturday, February 24 at 6:00 pm. Both games are available on the Ivy League Network and on WPRV AM 790, while Saturday's match-up against the Big Red can also be viewed on ESPN3.

The Bears stand in a three-way tie for third place in the Ivy standings with eight games remaining and will look to take care of business at home at the Pizzitola Sports Center against the Big Red and Lions. Brown will host its annual Alumni Game on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm, and will recognize its 2008 team, who earned a school record 19 wins, during Saturday's game against Columbia.
