Spring Academic All-Ivy Announced
Providence, RI- The Ivy League announced its spring list of Academic All-Ivy honorees, with 10 Brown student-athletes being recognized. The five males and five females were each starters or key reserves on their respective varsity teams and carry a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average.

Brown Finishes Seventh At Ivy League Men’s Golf Championship
Senior captain Michael Amato shot a 54-hole 220 to place seventh individually and earn All-Ivy honors, helping the Brown men’s golf team to a seventh place finish at the Ivy League Championship, played at the par-71 Galloway National Golf Club. Brown’s team shot rounds of 318-316-318.

Bears Complete Round Two At Ivy Golf Championship
After 36-holes at the Ivy League Golf Championship, Brown stands in sixth place with a two-round 634 on rounds of 318-316 under wet and windy conditions at the par-72 Galloway National Golf Club. Brown senior captain Michael Amato is still in contention for medalist honors, shooting 78 for a 36-hole 152, good for fourth place individually in the 40-player field.

Brown Fifth After Day One of Ivy League Championship
The first day is in the books at the 54-hole 2011 Ivy League Men’s Golf Championship with Brown fifth overall after shooting an opening round 318 at the Galloway National Golf Club. Bears’ senior captain Michael Amato registered 13 pars in shooting a three over par 74, the third best score of the day.

Bears Place 6th At The Century Intercollegiate
Brown’s men’s golf team placed sixth at the Century Intercollegiate with a 36-hole 656. The Bears shot 332-326 at the tournament played at the 6,848 yard par-71 Century Club. Sophomore JD Ardell turned in a solid performance and finished ninth overall after shooting 81-78—159 in the 45-player field.

Brown 10th At New England Division I Championship
Brown improved its first round score by seven shots with a final round 314 to place 10th at the New England Division I Championship held at the par-72, 7244 yard Newport National Golf Club on Aquidneck Island. Freshman Peter Callas shot a second day 76 to lead the Brown squad, finishing at 156, 31st individually.

On a chilly and windy day on Aquidneck Island, Brown shot 321 to place 10th after the first day of play at the New England Division I Championship, played at the par-72, 7244 yard Newport National Golf Club. Bears’ senior captain Michael Amato posted a five-over 77 to lead the Bears and place 20th individually after round one.

Brown Golfers Fall To Arizona
Brown and Arizona tangled at the Arizona National Golf Club on April 2, with the Wildcats coming out on to of a 281-311 score at the par-71, 6785 yard course. Brown sophomore JD Ardell, an Arizona native, led the Bears by shooting a three-over 75 to place fifth individually.

Men’s Golf 16th At OGIO-Santa Barbara Invitational
The Brown men’s golf team, playing its first competition of the spring season, shot a final round 310 to place 16th with a three-round 937 at the OGIO-Santa Barbara Invitational, held at the7,068 yard, par-72 Sandpiper Golf Club. Senior captain Michael Amato really stepped up his play in the third and final round, shooting 74 after rounds of 75-58, to finish at 227, 29th individually in the 87-player field.

Men’s Golf 16th After Day One of OGIO Santa Barbara Invitational
Playing its first competition of the spring season, the Brown men’s golf team is 16th at the OGIO Santa Barbara Invitational, hosted by the University of Santa Barbara at the 7,069 yard, par-72, Sandpiper Golf Club next to the Pacific Ocean. The Bears shot a two-round score of 627 on rounds of 313-314. 30th-ranked Oregon holds a 19-shot lead on second place UC Santa Barbara with a two-round 561.

Bears Complete Fall Season With 13th Place Finish At The Classic At Shelter Harbor
The Brown men’s golf team wrapped-up its 2010 fall season by finishing 13th at the Classic at Shelter Harbor, held at the par-71, 6695 yard Shelter Harbor Golf Club. The Bears shot a two-day 616 on rounds of 309-307.

With all eight Ivy League schools competing in the 16-team Classic at Shelter Harbor, the Brown men’s golf team is getting preview of next spring’s Ivy League Championship. After the first day of competition, the Bears are 11th overall with a first round 309, just one shot out of eighth place.

The Brown men’s golf team showed improvement in each round at the Connecticut Cup, hosted by the University of Connecticut at the par-72, 6,936 yard Ellington Ridge Country Club. Brown shot a three-round 930 on rounds of 312, 310, 308 to place 10th overall.

Brown shot a final round 306 for a two-day 616, to place 16th overall at the Big Five Invitational, played at the 6,570 yard par-72 Plymouth Country Club.

The Brown men’s golf team stands in 17th place at the Big 5 Invitational after the first day of play with a solid team score of 310 at the 6,570 yard par-72 Plymouth Country Club. Furman leads the tournament by six shots after shooting an opening round 283. Sophomore Ryan Hoskins (Scottsdale, AZ) made his Brown debut by carding a two-over par 74 (37-37) to lead the Brown team.

Brown showed overall improvement on the final day of play at the Adams Cup of Newport with a team score of 309, and finished 17th at the Adams Cup of Newport, held at the par-72 Newport National Golf Club.

Following the first day of competition at the Adams Cup of Newport, the Brown men's golf team is 17th overall with a two-round 659 (330-329). The University of Central Florida leads the tournament by nine shots with a first day 581.

Following the first day of competition at the Navy Invitational, the Brown men's golf team stands in 13th place after shooting 306. Delaware leads the field with a sizzling 274, eight shots in front of second place Towson.

Bears Place 12th At Navy Invitational
The Brown men's golf team improved to 12th place in the 16-team US Naval Academy Invitational, played on the par-71 at the Naval Academy Golf Course in Annapolis. Coach Mike Hughes' team shot a two-day 616 (306-307), with Delaware capturing the team title with a sizzling 569, capturing the team title by eight shots.

Men’s Golf Earns National Academic Recognition
Brown University’s men’s golf team posted the second highest team GPA in the nation and was recognized by the Golf Coaches Association of America with the prestigious President’s Special recognition as one of the Top 10 academic teams in the nation.
