Bears Place 8th At Ivy League Men’s Golf Championship
Despite an eighth place finish at the 2012 Ivy League Men’s Golf Championship, the Brown men’s golf team earned a bit of redemption with the fourth best score (308) in Sunday’s final round, played at the par 71 Galloway National Golf Club. Freshman Justin Miller led the Bears with a 54-hole 239.

Men’s Golf Eighth After Day Two of Ivy Championship
Day two of the Ivy League Men’s Golf Championship is completed and the Brown men’s golf team is eighth overall after 36-holes in the tournament held at the par-71 Galloway National Golf Club. Play will conclude with 18 holes on Sunday, April 29, with the Bears teeing off at 8:30 a.m.

Rough Opening Day For Men’s Golf At The Ivy Championship
The Brown men’s golf team struggled in windy conditions during the opening round of the Ivy League Golf Championship, played at the par-71, 6806 yard Galloway National Golf Club. The Bears shot an opening round 337 to place eighth after the first day of competition.

Bears Place 6th At The Century Invitational
Brown placed sixth at the Century Invitational with a two-round 628, battling rain and wind on Sunday, in the tournament played at the par-71, 6,925 yard Century Club. Freshman Justin Miller led the Bears with a sparkling 36-hole score of 148.

Bears Place 11th At Princeton Invitational
With perfect weather conditions, the scores were low at the Princeton Invitational, played at the par 71, 6,390 yard Springdale Golf Club. Brown placed 11th overall in its first appearance in the tournament with a 54-hole score of 905, on rounds of 302-302-301. Freshman Justin Miller once again paced the Bears with a 54-hole 222 on rounds of 75-76-71.

Bears Finish Fifth At The Yale Spring Opener
Following its spring trip to Arizona, the Brown men’s golf team returned north to earn a fifth place finish at the Yale Spring Opener played on the par-70, 6,749 yard Yale Golf Course. Bears’ junior captain JD Ardell turned in a strong performance with a 36-hole 152.

Bears Narrowly Fall To Arizona
Brown’s upset bid to take down 52nd-ranked Arizona came up two shots short, as the Bears fell to the Wildcats by a 311-313 margin at the par-72 Golf Club at Vistoso. Freshman Justin Miller was spectacular for the Bears, shooting a one-over par 73 in extremely windy conditions.

Bears In Competition
The Bears are on the verge of starting their 2012 spring season with high expectations of competing for the Ivy League Championship, and an NCAA berth. Head coach Mike Hughes has assembled a young and talented squad led by junior captain JD Ardell and a hungry group of underclassmen.

Brown Places 13th At The Classic At Shelter Harbor
Brown wrapped-up its fall men’s golf schedule with a 13th place finish at The Classic at Shelter Harbor, held at the par-71 2,995 yard Shelter Harbor Golf Club. The Bears shot a 36-hole 633 on rounds of 316-322.

Bears 22nd At Philadelphia Big 5 Invitational
Playing its fourth tournament of the fall season, Brown traveled just outside Philadelphia and finished 22nd with a 36-hole 648 at the Philadelphia Big 5 Invitational at the Plymouth Country Club.

Freshman Justin Miller placed 11th individually to help0 the Brown men’s golf team to a ninth place finish at the Hartford Hawk Invitational, played at the par 72, 6992 yard Bulls Ridge Golf Club nestled in the Northwest Hills of Connecticut. Brown’s 912 team total came on rounds of 306-306-300.

Bears Place 18th At Adams Cup of Newport
Brown completed play at the Adams Cup of Newport and placed 18th overall in the two-day tournament, with the first 36 holes played at the par-72, 7244 yard Newport National Golf Club, and the final round at the par-71, 6675 yard Carnegie Abbey Country Club. The Bears were paced by freshman Justin Miller, who carded a three-round 229 to finish 61st individually.

Miller’s 69 Leads Brown To School Record 283 At Navy Fall Classic
Freshman Justin Miller (Oakmont, PA) shot a sizzling two-under par 69 to lead the Brown men’s golf team to a school record one under par 283 on the final day of competition at the Navy Fall Classic, played at the par 71, 6,600 yard Naval Academy Golf Course. Miller’s blistering score helped the Bears to a fifth place finish with a two round 592 (309, 283) in the 12-team tournament.
