Phil Goss Named Ivy League Player of the Week

Providence, R.I. - Brown sophomore goalie Phil Goss (San Francisco, CA) has been named the Ivy League's Player of the Week for his 17 save performance in Brown's 12-9 win on the road over fourth-ranked Villanova on March 6.

Goss was the difference in the win over the Wildcats, making 11 of his 17 saves in the second half, including six in the fourth quarter alone, while allowing just two second half goals.

Goss leads the nation with 15.0 saves per game through four games this season, after being the national leader with 12.75 saves per game in 2017.

Earlier this season, Goss made a season high 20 saves against #15 Rutgers.

Brown opens its Ivy League schedule on Saturday, March 17, traveling to Boston, Mass., to face Harvard. Game time is 1:00 pm at Harvard Stadium in a game televised on NESNplus and the Ivy League Network.
