Men’s Tennis Falls to No. 45 Yale, 5-2


NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Brown men's tennis team was defeated by No. 45 Yale, 5-2, in the its first Ivy League match of the season on Sunday.

In doubles, seniors Lucas Da Silveira (Incline Village, Nev.) and Gregory Garcia (Poway, Calif.) won their first doubles match, 6-3, but the Bulldogs would take the next two matches to win the point.

For singles, Yale won first, second, third and fourth singles en route to its win. The Bears received wins from freshmen Jacob Walker (Bethesda, Md.) and Peter Litsky (St. Petersburg, Fla.) in fifth and sixth singles, respectively. Walker won by a score of 6-4, 7-6, while Litsky posted a 6-3, 6-2 victory.

The Bears will next travel to Queens, N.Y. to take on St. John's on Sunday, March 12 in a 1:00 p.m. match.
