Da Silveira and Garcia Rank No. 44 in ITA Doubles

SKILLMAN, N.J. – Brown men's tennis seniors Lucas Da Silveira (Incline Village, Nev.) and Gregory Garcia (Poway, Calif.) are ranked No. 44 in the latest Oracle/ITA Division I Collegiate Rankings for men's doubles. Out of 90 ranked teams, the duo jumped from unranked to 44 this week.

The seniors are the second highest ranked doubles team in the Ivy League, sitting close behind Princeton's Alex Day and Luke Gamble who come in at 41. Last weekend, Da Silveira and Garcia knocked off then 31st-ranked Day and Gamble, 6-2, on April 16. Da Silveira and Garcia are 10-1 this season when playing together, with their only loss coming to No. 66 Kenny Tao and Brian Yeung (ranked No. 60 at time of match) of Harvard on April 7.

The top doubles seed from the Ivy League will gain selection to the NCAA Championship.

The Bears are back in action this weekend to close out the regular season with key matches at No. 23 Columbia on Saturday, April 22 and at No. 25 Cornell on Sunday, April 23. Both matches are set to start at 1:00 p.m.
