Men’s Tennis Blanks Boston University, 7-0

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown men's tennis team improved to 7-0 on the season with a 7-0 victory over Boston University on Sunday at the Pizzitola Sports Center.

Senior Jack Haworth (Corby, England) and sophomore Jacob Walker (Bethesda, Md.) got things started with a 6-1 win in second doubles. The Bears took the point with a 6-2 win from senior Aaron Sandberg (Hudson, Ohio) and freshman Ching Lam (Sai Kung, Hong Kong) in the top spot.

Haworth notched his second win of the day in first singles, 6-1, 6-2, to open singles play. Walker was next in the second spot (6-3, 7-5) and Lam followed in fourth singles (7-6 (2), 6-2). Senior Peter Tarwid (Lake Forest, Ill.) recorded the fifth win for Brown in third singles, 6-4, 7-5, while junior Charles Tan (Austin, Texas) (6-3, 6-1, sixth) and sophomore Peter Litsky (St. Petersburg, Fla.) (7-6 (6), 6-2) concluded the day with victories.

The Bears next compete at the ECAC Championship, hosted by Yale, Friday, Feb. 16 through Sunday, Feb. 18.
