Cerretani Earns Doubles Win over Federer

Former Brown tennis standout, Jamie Cerretani '04 earned perhaps the biggest victory of his professional career on Tuesday. Ranked as high as #45 in the world in doubles (July 2008), Cerretani and his partner, Aisam Qureshi (Pakistan) claimed a 6-4, 6-3 win over #1 Roger Federer (Switzerland) and Marco Chiudinelli (Switzerland) at the Davidoff Swiss Indoors.

Four Bears Compete at Crimson Invitational
Four members of the Brown men's tennis team competed at the Crimson Invitational over the weekend, closing out the fall portion of the Bears' schedule. Sophomore Jimmy Crystal (South Salem, NY) and freshman Luciano Musella (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) led the Bears with four total wins each, while sophomore Andrew Yazmer (Simsbury, CT) and freshman Miles Garrigues (Ridgewood, NJ) earned three and two wins, respectively.

Au and Posner Advance to ITA Regional Doubles Finals
Several players from the Brown men's tennis team represented the Bears this past weekend at the ITA Regional Championships, hosted by Dartmouth. Juniors Kendrick Au (St. John's, NF) and Charlie Posner (Cambridge, MA) advanced to Monday's doubles final, falling to Alistair Felton and Andy Nguyen of Harvard in a close, 9-7, match. This marks the seventh straight year that a Brown doubles team has advanced to at least the semifinals, and the fifth time in seven years that a Brown teams has been in the finals.

Gorham Competes at ITA All-American Qualifying
Senior Nathaniel Gorham (Los Altos, CA) represented Brown at the 2009 ITA All-American Tournament, held in Tulsa, OK. Gorham was matched up against Lee Singer, from the University of Virginia in the First Round of Qualifying.
