Brown Track & Field Honored by USTFCCCA
The Brown University men’s and women’s track & field teams have recently been honored by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) be being named Division I All-Academic Track and Field Teams. The selection of the All-Academic Indoor and Outdoor Scholar Teams of the Year award is based on a combination of academic and athletic achievements. To be nominated, the team must carry a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average.

Craig Kinsley Named USTFCCCA Outdoor Track & Field All-American
Sophomore Craig Kinsley (Fairfield, CT) finished his 2009 track & field season at the 2009 Division 1 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship on Friday evening ranking third in the nation in the javelin. Kinsley's performance earned him USTFCCCA All-American honors as he was just one of three Brown track & field athletes to compete in the tournament.

Craig Kinsley '11 to Compete in Javelin Finals Today at NCAA Championship
Sophomore Brynn Smith (Saco, ME), senior Bryan Powlen (Kewanna, IN) and sophomore Craig Kinsley (Fairfield, CT) have done an outstanding job competing at the 2009 Outdoor Track & Field NCAA Championship this week. Smith and Powlen finished ranking in the top 20 in the Nation, as Kinsley is still alive in the tournament and will be competing in the javelin finals tonight at 7:30 p.m.
