Men’s Water Polo Team Sports Highest GPA in Country

Providence, RI- In an announcement made by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC), the Brown University men's water polo team ranks first overall in team cumulative grade point average with a 3.570. Also, 10 individuals from the water polo squad earned All-Academic awards, which included four student-athletes being selected to the "outstanding" category for maintaining a 3.71 – 4.00 cumulative GPA or higher.

Earning "outstanding" honors was freshman Cyrus Mojdehi, senior goalkeeper Kent Holland, junior Corey Schwartz and sophomore Toby Espinosa.

Freshman Dean Serure (Coral Gables, FL), sophomore Max Lubin (Beverly Hills, CA), junior Brandon Yoshimura (Haverford, PA), and sophomore Marcus Gartner (San Jose, CA) received "superior" honors for the ACWPC for earning a cumulative grade point average between 3.41 – 3.70.

Brown senior Zach Levko (Wildwood, MO) and freshman Ryan Gladych (Corona Del Mar, CA) were honored in the "excellent" category for earning a GPA of a 3.20 – 3.40.
