Women's Crew Sweeps URI to Start Spring Season

Providence, R.I. – The Brown women’s crew began their spring dual race season in impressive fashion on Saturday morning, sweeping the URI women on the Seekonk River. The varsity 8 turned in the fastest race of the day, rowing a 6:50.59 to knock off the Rams by 16 seconds, but all six Brown boats appeared to already be in midseason form.

Women's Crew Wraps Up Fall Season With Victory at Foot of the Charles
The Bears traveled to Boston over the weekend to compete in the Foot of the Charles, coming away with a decisive victory in the prioritized varsity four to close out the fall season. Among the schools that finished behind Brown were Ivy rivals Harvard and Dartmouth, and several other impressive teams.

Crew Competes at Princeton Chase
The women's crew was in action at the Princeton Chase on Sunday afternoon, as the Bears finished with two boats in the top-seven at the highly competitive event. Bruno's top eight finished fourth with an impressive 15:29, while the "B" boat came across just seven seconds later to finish seventh, beating a number of "A" boats in the process.

Women's Crew Debuts With Eighth at the Charles
The Brown women’s crew turned in an impressive performance in a snowy Head of the Charles over the weekend, kicking off their fall schedule with an eighth place finish in the Championship 8 race. The Bears beat many of the top collegiate boats from around the country, including Michigan and Harvard, crossing the line in 17:00.9.
