Track & Field Competes at ECAC/IC4A Championships

BOSTON – The Brown University men's and women's track & field teams posted several impressive performances as the Bears competed at the ECAC and IC4A Championships over the weekend at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center.

Junior Clare Peabody (Aptos, Calif.) finished fifth in the 800 meters in a time of 2:09.90 and set a personal-best time in the preliminaries at 2:09.02.

Senior Taylor Worthy (Medfield, Mass.) picked up a first-place finish in the preliminaries of the mile and then took fifth overall in the finals with a time of 4:54.17.

Rookies Kennedy Kerr (West Hempstead, N.Y.) and Jillian Turner (New Providence, N.J.) both placed 15th overall in the 60 meters and 3,000 meters, respectively, in times of 7.77 and 9:48.90. 

On the men's side, junior Martin Martinez (Waukegan, Ill.) was 16 overall in the mile at 4:11.42.
