Cross Country Competes in NCAA Northeast Regionals

Boston, MA- The men’s and women’s cross country team recently competed in the NCAA Northeast Regional meet at Franklin Park. The men’s team was led by a 10th place finish by Christian Escareno, who earned a spot to compete in the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championship at Indiana State. The women’s team was led by a 17th place finish by Ariel Wright, as the squad finished ninth overall with 215 points.

Brown Cross Country Competes at Ivy League Heptagonal Championship
The Brown University men’s and women’s cross country team competed at the 2009 Ivy League Heptagonal Championship this afternoon at Van Cortlandt Park earning fifth place finishes. The men’s team was led by a second-place finish by Christian Escareno (Mount Prospect, IL) and the women were led by a seventh-place finish by senior Ariel Wright (Oakland, CA).

Brown Cross Country Competes at CCSU
New Britain, CT- The Brown University cross country teams competed at the CCSU Mini Meet this morning at Stanley Quarter Park. The women’s squad earned second place with 42 points in the ten-team field, and the men’s team finished in fourth with 117 points in the 11-team field. While both the men and women held their top 11 runners at home to gear up for the Ivy League's Heptagonal Championships this weekend, Head Coach Craig Lake gave some of her younger runners a chance to gain experience and compete against a talented field.

Men’s and Women’s Cross County Compete at Pre-Nationals
Terre Haute, IN- The men’s and women’s cross country team competed at the 2009 Indiana State University Pre-National Invitational on Saturday. The women’s squad finished 21st in the team standings of the Women’s White Race with 571 points, and the men came in 20th in the Men’s Blue Race with 486 points.
